Hydraulic cylinder with internal dead stop adjustable from the outside for mechanical stroke adjustment
This elegant and space saving solution can also be used for adjusting the stroke automatically.
A dead stop internal to the piston rod is being adjusted from the outside using a ball bearing spindle. Adjustment could be performed using a programmable electric motor flanged directly to the cylinder.
The mechanical dead stop for the piston ensures a high repeat accuracy. The stroke adjustment is having no effect on the active piston surface, thus, no loss of piston force is experienced in comparison to a normal hydraulic cylinder.
The sample cylinder shown has an operating force of 700 kN at 275 bar.
This type of cylinder has also been machined in various smaller sizes.
